Cleaning Techniques
Maid The Day specializes in two styles of cleaning. Green cleaning and Natural Cleaning. We believe in educating our customers about the differences between these two styles in order to allow you to make the best possible choice for your home and family.
Green Cleaning is a method of cleaning where environmentally-friendly cleaning products are used. The products are manufactured, packaged and labeled as Green because they are non-toxic to the environment. Green cleaners are not chemical-free, and may still be harmful to your health. Although most commercial Green cleaning products are "better" for your health than the standard industrialized products, many of them still contain chemicals, dyes and fragrances that can set off allergic reactions.
Green cleaning is a step in the right direction towards the health of your family, however, it is important to read labels and be informed!
Natural Cleaning is a method of cleaning where chemical-free products are used. While many companies provide cleaning supplies and tools with their service, we don’t believe in that methodology. We believe each home should have its own unique set of tools and products that best suit it. This will also prevent cross contaminates and germs between homes. We also firmly believe that when a cleaning tool is used in your home that is where it should stay! Therefore, we require our regular clients to keep cleaning tools and products at home which we can easily monitor and replenish for your convenience. For one-time visits, we are happy to provide a rental kit at a flat rate which we will then sterilize after each use.
Having the proper tools and products allows for the most efficient use of time and the very best quality of service. We will recommend our most effective products for your specific cleaning application whether it be glass, marble, wood, tiles and so on. Rest assured, we have tested them all and know which work the very best. As my mother Lynda used to say..."You can’t expect a beautiful haircut with a rusty pair of scissors"!
